One great thing about Cincinnati is that we have a lot of really great parks. One park my wife and I have been trying to explore a bit more before the white death of winter approaches is Mt. Airy Forest. We’ve been there a couple times in the last month. We’ve lived in Cincinnati pretty much our whole lives but haven’t visited this park as much as some of the others. Miami Whitewater was always one of my personal favorites.
The tree house pictured above (taken by my wife) was the main draw for our first trip. We had heard about it and never seen it, so we decided to go. While there, we decided to turn off into the Arboretum as well. Where there are flowers, there are bugs and I like taking pictures of them… I’m sure you can tell by now. The funny thing is that of all the photos below, I only took the last two (including the Pieris rapae); my wife took the rest. She likes photography too – usually with less of a focus on bugs, though!
I threw in that last picture of her with our dog in the backyard; visual proof of the fixed fence!
