Wood roaches look a bit like the cockroach we all know and hate, but originate and prefer to stay outdoors. They live and thrive in moist environments, so they don’t really want to be in your home anyways. If, by chance, one does wander into your home, it’s pretty easy to tell the difference between this and a typical cockroach. The wood roach isn’t secretive like the cockroach. It won’t go scurrying to the nearest dark corner when you turn on the lights. Having one in your home isn’t really a problem besides the fact that there just happens to be another bug in your house. I say “catch and release” with these as they have no real benefit to the ecosystem of your house. They don’t deserve to die though, so don’t squash them.
